  • Pandora's World
Milton's Snare

  • A village on the edge of Exmoor in the year 1894.  Strange things happen here.
  • The Giant's Teeth.  A stone circle said to be the gateway to another world.
  • Wolfe's Mill.  Home to the Wolfe family for generations.
  • Exmoor Asylum, home to lunatics and far, far worse.
The Villains

The Shining Ones - a secret society, rumoured to be responsible for the disappearance of Pan's parents when she was a baby.

  • Dr Crozier, the administrator of the Exmoor Lunatic Asylum and master hypnotist.
  • Inspector August of Scotland Yard's Special Branch.
  • Lord Morland.  Minister in Her Majesty's Government and rumoured to be the most dangerous psychomancer in the British Empire.
They will stop at nothing to achieve their ends. Murder and kidnapping are the very least of their crimes and they are not above using evil magic items to get their way.  If they succeed, the whole world is in danger.

The Heroes

  • Pandora Wolfe, a thirteen year old from 21st Century London who comes into possession of her father's time-travelling watch.
  • Prometheus Wolfe, Pandora's long lost uncle and agent of the crown, sworn to protect the British Empire from magical threats.
  • Eric Jacobs, a Victorian boy obsessed with Sherlock Holmes books.
  • Lucy Winter, a Vicar's daughter whose doll can predict the future.
Pan, her uncle and and her friends struggle to understand the evil plot before it's too late.

Unknown

  • Stella, Pan's incredibly selfish and vain grandmother back in the 21st Century.
  • Mrs Morgan, the headmistress of Morgan Academy.  Is she a vampire as Eric Suspects?
  • Rex Phelan, the school bully. Why is his father in the asylum and why does he hate Eric?
  • Sir Miles Haringsby,  the richest man in town. Is he in league with the Shining Ones?
  • The magical circus of Dr Walpurgis.  When they appear, bad things happen, but is it just coincidence?
  • Jack, a boy trapped in another world who communicates through mirrors.
Whose side are they on?  Can Pan trust them, or are they working for the Shining Ones? Only time will tell.
